Breathing is the single-most important factor that sustains our existence and our mental and emotional wellbeing. Harmonious Breathing has as its central purpose to rediscover the beauty of breathing well, naturally.
Originally developed to prepare the student for Yantra Yoga, the practice includes gentle generic warm-ups, postures, and stretches which are executed with the express aim of making us aware of how each action or posture affects the breath. In addition we practice safe, breath-specific exercises, which give us the experience of the pathways the breath can take, and also enhance the fluidity and underlying harmony of the respiration. This has the effect on the individual of clearing the mind, restoring vigor to the body, and harmonizing the emotions.
